Hubbell Realty to Begin Building Riverpoint Lofts in Downtown Des Moines

West Des Moines (January 26, 2011) – Hubbell Realty Company announced the development of RiverPoint Lofts in downtown Des Moines to begin this month.

Originally designed in 1902 by Proudfoot & Bird, the Schmitt-Henry Manufacturing Company factory located at 309 SW 8th Street will be converted into 55 one-bedroom and 36 two-bedroom apartments for individuals who qualify for residency at restricted income levels.  RiverPoint Lofts will range from 530 square feet to over 1,400 square feet in size.

All units will have an urban loft feel with in-unit washer and dryer, central air conditioning, full kitchen, access to high-speed internet and connection to either cable or satellite television service. Other amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, community room and business center that will provide residents with free access to computers, copier, fax, printer and internet access. Additionally, residents will have free on-site parking and a common rooftop patio for their use.

Construction will be completed by Hubbell Construction Services.
