 West Des Moines, IA (July 2, 2014) – 7th Street Brownstones, located in downtown Des Moines south of MLK Jr. Parkway, celebrated its grand opening yesterday with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The $6.8 million development by Hubbell Realty Company brings 34 rental brownstones to this rejuvenated area and is the first of its kind in the downtown Des Moines market.

Modeled after Hubbell’s successful for-sale brownstones community located on Grand Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Streets, 7th Street Brownstones features two-story, three-bedroom, three-bathroom rental brownstones. Additional features include walk-in closets, stainless steel appliances, washers/dryers, granite countertops, two-car garages and rooftop patios with pergola and wet bar.

“There is great momentum in downtown Des Moines, and it is exciting to see how this area south of MLK Jr. Parkway has transformed into a unique mixed-use neighborhood. 22 of the brownstones units are currently completed and are 100% leased.
