Hubbell Breaks Ground on Second Phase of Conservation Community

West Des Moines, IA (September 27, 2011) – Hubbell Land Development has broken ground on the second phase of Crosshaven, a conservation community in Johnston.  This phase consists of 28 lots and is adjacent to a future elementary school.  Construction is set to be finished by late fall.  Crosshaven is the site for the next Hubbell Realty Company Home Show, slated for June 2012.

“This is a great community,” says Vice President of Hubbell Land Development, Joe Pietruszynski.  “With a great location, near a future elementary school and the YMCA, Crosshaven is one of the fastest selling new construction neighborhoods in Johnston.  Pre-sale activity has exceeded our expectations.”

Crosshaven is a Hubbell Conservation Community, with native prairie, walking trails and open public green spaces to help minimize impact on the environment and decrease the carbon footprint of its residents.  All but four lots have been sold from the first phase of 34 lots.  Hubbell has five other conservation communities throughout the metro area.
