What's coming in 2022?

As Hubbell Realty Company rounds out a successful 2021 year in projects, the company is already looking ahead to what’s coming next in 2022. From being one of the only developers building a new apartment in downtown Des Moines to building additional industrial space, the pipeline is full as the new year approaches.

Multifamily – Apartments & Rental

Hubbell will be one of the only developers building a multifamily apartment community in Central Iowa next year. Level at the Bridge District, the third and final apartment community, is underway in Des Moines’ East Village. This 114-unit community will cost an estimated $29 million and will have 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom options and will deliver in early 2023.

Centennial Crossing, a new single-family rental product to the market, is wrapping up in Waukee. These 125 rental townhomes have 2-and-3-bedroom options, with the final handful of homes finishing at the end of this year. These are located across from Centennial Park and Waukee High School and are available to rent now!

Forge65, a rental townhome and apartment community, is in the works in Pleasant Hill. While we’re still working through design, layout and materials, we’re planning for an early spring dig.

Industrial Construction

Hubbell Construction Services wrapped up major industrial projects at Crosswinds Business Park I and are gearing up for Crosswinds II, which is currently under construction. The first 137,500 square foot building was leased to Amazon, Inc. earlier this year. The second building will be up for lease come mid-2022.

Other sites across Ankeny, Des Moines and spanning into Sioux Falls and Omaha are also being eyed for 2022 industrial locations.

Hubbell Homes

In a recently revealed website launch, Gray’s Station townhomes debuted a new look and refreshed vision as Phase One of the master-planned neighborhood continues to grow. Take a virtual tour and see additional for-sale and rental townhome options at Gray’s Station via https://graysstation.com/.

Hubbell Homes is taking on another master-planned neighborhood, Holland Pointe, in Norwalk. This new community will feature 500-plus single-family homes, townhomes and villas, 55+ community as well as rental products among trails and parks.

In addition to these two master planned communities, a lot of progress continues throughout 20-plus communities for Central Iowa’s largest homebuilder. This includes the increase of the Discovery Collection, which is geared to make the first-time homebuying process simple, easy and affordable. Keep your eye on Hubbell Homes in early 2022 for more exciting changes to the way they do business.

Edencrest – Assisted Living, Memory Care and Independent Living

Hubbell recently completed the sixth Edencrest, this one at Tuscany in Altoona. This Edencrest offers independent living as well as short-term respite care, a first for the portfolio. This community joins the others at Beaverdale, Green Meadows, The Legacy, Riverwoods, and Siena Hills.

A seventh Edencrest, Timberline, is under construction in Urbandale and will feature 80-units. This $20.2 million project will also offer independent living and will open in early 2023. Two additional Edencrest locations are also being planned, although specific plans have not been released.

New Looks, & New Brands

In addition to the rebrand of Indigo Living, formerly Hubbell Apartment Living, we also welcomed another new brand – The Land Company – in Omaha. With the same dedication to customer service and quality, both brands are embracing the new looks and new websites so be sure to check them out today.

Of course, more projects will be announced as the new year rolls in – so keep watch of the Hubbell Realty Company Facebook, Instagram and website for the latest information.
