Dear Jim and Rick,

Thank you for your donation to the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines’ Capital Campaign.  Your support, and that of over 300 campaign donors, has helped the Civic Center raise some $7.7 million in capital support.
The list of projects these gifts have provided for includes new seats, renovations to the ticket office, patron lounge and green room, new carpeting, handrails and paint through the facility, new doors and glass at the lobby entrances and an extensive list of mechanical improvements and behind the scenes renovations.  The Civic Center continues to receive rave reviews from the cast and crew of our shows, and most importantly from our guests.  Thank you for helping to make this possible.

Todd Heuermann has been the on-site project manager for Hubbell Construction as Hubbell has built a new $3.3M counseling facility for the Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center. Groundbreaking for the project was June 24, 2010. Heavy rains continued throughout much of the summer. The project was scheduled to be finished mid-January 2011. The facility was basically finished by December 1, a month and a half early.

Much of the early completion is attributable to Todd’s leadership with the sub-contractors. He squeezed workers in and around the summer rain, and managed the various sub-projects in an effective manner.

His knowledge of the various facets of the project and how they fit together was not too unlike the conductor of a symphony.

A striking quality of Todd and all the sub-contractors was the friendly, upbeat attitude throughout the project. No matter what the question or discussion of a potential or needed change, Todd’s attitude was consitently, “That’s not a problem. We can do that.” His warm patience and timely humor regularly characterized his engagement.

Todd is a perfectionist. He wants his projects to be done right and he knows how to make that happen. He communicated the sense that I could have total confidence in him and his team right from the beginning.

I could not be more please with Todd, as well as the whole Hubbell team.

"I am a small builder that builds approx. 15 homes per year. I give great thought into where I build and who I do business with. I recently drove thru a community in Pleasant Hill called Copper Creek and was impressed. The development was very clean, the lots were well maintained, it was by far NOT a “cookie cutter” subdivision and I felt that this was the place that I wanted to purchase several lots to build my product.
