Cityville on 9th will be a mixed-use, multi-family and commercial development located on 10.5 acres on SW 9th St. This site, which is just south of MLK Jr. Parkway, is an ideal location for those wanting to be nearby downtown Des Moines’ attractions. The $40 million development will consist of 339 micro, one- and two-bedroom apartments, covered parking and 55,000 square feet of retail space within nine four-story buildings. Cityville on 9th will be built in three phases, with the first phase consisting of 111 apartment homes, a clubhouse and 20,000 square feet of commercial space and is expected to be completed in spring 2014.
