Matt Daniels serves as the Director of Operations for Origin Homes, a custom homebuilder specializing in “build on your lot” single-family new construction across Iowa. In this leadership role, Matt oversees all business operations, including budgeting, trade partner relationships, profit and loss management, staff supervision, and customer experience. With a deep understanding of the homebuilding journey, he leads a team of seasoned professionals who help clients design, plan and build homes in Iowa’s 99 counties.

Matt brings over 20 years of residential construction experience to Origin Homes. His career began as a project manager in 2006, later advancing to Vice President of Operations where he led custom homebuilding projects from permitting to closing. His expertise spans both field operations and client engagement, ensuring a seamless and personalized homebuilding experience for every homeowner.

Under Matt’s operational leadership, Origin Homes has earned multiple recent awards recognizing excellence in homebuilding and community impact. These honors underscore the company’s dedication to craftsmanship, customer service, and rural development.

Matt has played a key role in expanding Origin Homes’ footprint across the state, with custom homes now found in communities throughout Iowa. He is also a driving force behind the company’s Rural Housing Initiative, a mission-driven effort to bring high-quality, affordable housing options to underserved rural areas. This initiative focuses on revitalizing rural communities through thoughtful design, local partnerships, and long-term housing solutions that support Iowa’s next generation of homeowners.
