Hubbell Goes to the Extreme

Philanthropy and community giving is at the heart of what we do, and we go big. Some say we even take things to the extreme in our giving back.

Building Hope Through the Hubbell Extreme Build

The Hubbell Extreme Build turns our industry expertise and connections into meaningful community change. In a matter of days, this extreme effort rallies our associates and partners to complete ambitious construction projects that support nonprofits across Central Iowa. From child development centers to housing to large-scale community facilities, this event delivers transformations that directly support Iowans.

2006

Hubbell partnered with ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to rebuild a family’s home after a Christmas Day fire.

Hubbell hosted the second Hubbell Extreme Build for a local non-profit, Anawim Housing, to build “9 Homes for 9 Families in 9 Days” with over 100 trade partners.

2013

Hubbell visited Easter Seals Camp Sunnyside in the “Cabins for Campers” build where two 7,500 square foot lodges were built in one week, replacing 1950’s facilities.

2017

We demolished and rebuilt the Ronald McDonald House of Central Iowa in downtown Des Moines into a new 20,000 square foot house in just 11 days. This enabled Blank Children’s Hospital to expand their care services across the Midwest.

2021

Hubbell returned to Easter Seals Camp Sunnyside, Care for Kids, building a 12,500 square foot child development center in just one week. This center supports 60+ kids with and without disabilities in our community.
