Tim Coonan joins Hubbell Realty Company as Vice President.

With nearly three decades of law and political analyst experience, Coonan joins Hubbell to further the strategic growth of the development operations of the company. Coonans primary responsibilities, alongside Development and Construction Services, will include but are not limited to furthering business development and executing capital fundraising strategies to build and expand the growth of Hubbell commercial, multifamily and industrial assets under management in Iowa, Nebraska & South Dakota.

Coonan joins Hubbell after serving as Government Relations Special Counsel at Dentons Davis Brown Law Firm from 2016 to 2024. During his tenure, he amassed nearly 20 years of lobbying experience before the Iowa Legislature and executive branch agencies, along with more than 25 years of public policy expertise, including significant policy work in Washington, D.C.

Coonan is a graduate of Drake University in Political Science (1996) and Drake University Law School (2002).

Coonan’s community involvement includes his current roles as the incoming President of the Iowa Taxpayer Association, a board member of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, and a board member of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, where he previously chaired the Government Policy Council. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct professor at Drake Law School, teaching legislative practice.
