Centennial Crossing is an attached single-family rental community in Waukee, Iowa, designed to provide an alternative housing option in one of the Des Moines metro’s most coveted and fastest-growing suburbs. Located on 17 acres directly south of Centennial Park and across from Waukee High School, the community brought spacious suburban rental living to a high-demand market with strong access to schools, parks, trails, restaurants, and retailers along University Avenue. The neighborhood included a mix of two- and three-bedroom ranch and two-story homes, with open floorplans, attached two-car garages, and layouts designed to serve a wide range of residents, from growing families to downsizers seeking a lower-maintenance lifestyle.
Expanding Waukee Rental Housing
Hubbell developed Centennial Crossing in response to a clear market need for rental homes that offered more space, privacy, and flexibility than traditional multifamily options. The community incorporated an on-site clubhouse and pool, access to surrounding running and biking trails, and thoughtful connections to nearby natural features, including a swale running through the neighborhood toward Glynn Village, Hubbell’s adjacent conservation community.
