Edencrest at Riverwoods is a 40-apartment assisted living and memory care community on the south side of Des Moines and marked the first community developed under Hubbell’s Edencrest brand. Located at 2210 East Park Avenue, the $7.4 million community was developed by Hubbell Realty Company with equity partner Persimmon Capital Partners and built by Hubbell Construction Services. As the first Edencrest location, Riverwoods established a new senior living platform within Hubbell’s broader housing portfolio, combining private apartments with supportive services, secured memory care, and shared spaces designed for comfort, connection, and care.
Launching the Edencrest Brand
Edencrest at Riverwoods demonstrated Hubbell’s ability to identify a specialized housing need and create a scalable senior living model for Central Iowa. The community included a central dining room with restaurant-style dining, exercise room, beauty salon, private gathering areas for family and friends, and a secured memory care environment for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. By pairing development expertise, construction capabilities, equity partnership, and a care-focused residential model, Edencrest at Riverwoods became the foundation for the continued growth of the Edencrest brand across the Des Moines metro.
