Legacy Landing is a 120-unit market-rate apartment community in Norwalk, Iowa, located at 2701 Cedar Street just minutes south of downtown Des Moines. As Hubbell’s first market-rate apartment community in Norwalk, the $11 million development expanded the company’s multifamily portfolio in a community where Hubbell had already made significant housing investments. The community offered one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes with upgraded finishes, in-unit washers and dryers, and walk-in closets, providing a high-quality rental option for residents seeking suburban convenience with close access to the Des Moines metro.

Built for Norwalk's Growth

Hubbell developed Legacy Landing and delivered the project through Hubbell Construction Services, demonstrating the company’s ability to pair multifamily development expertise with in-house construction capabilities. Supported by bank debt and equity, the community introduced a strong amenity package, including a first-of-its-kind “social pool” designed for gathering and interaction, along with a fire pit, outdoor living space, patio and grilling area, workout facility, media room, and clubhouse with a kitchen and sitting area. By expanding rental housing options in Norwalk and building on the success of nearby Cedarbrooke Place, Legacy Landing reinforced Hubbell’s ability to create communities that align with suburban growth and resident lifestyle needs.
