Origin Homes was awarded the 2025 Rand Fisher Rural Leadership Award for a Business/Organization at this year’s Iowa Rural Summit. This award, given by the Iowa Rural Development Council, is given to an organization who demonstrates exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to advancing rural Iowa’s rural economic, community and social development.

“Origin’s been able to build 28 homes in five communities, or about $8 million in investment in housing, in three short years since creating our Rural Housing Initiative. We’ve recently selected our next round of communities for this upcoming year, and we look forward to announcing those soon.  The momentum rural Iowa has right now really is contagious and we’re so excited to keep playing a small role,” said Matt Daniels, Director of Operations for Origin Homes, during Thursday evenings ceremony.

The Rand Fisher Rural Leadership award was established in 2021 through the support of the Iowa Area Development Group Community Foundation.  It honors the decades of contributions to rural Iowa by former IADG President (and IRDC board member) Rand Fisher.
