
The proposed Line 7 multifamily development in Urbandale took a step forward recently with the city council’s approval of the site plan for the project.
The city council also approved the preliminary and final plats for the development at its July 20 meeting. Line 7 will feature 225 apartments over five buildings.
With the approvals in place, Hubbell Realty Co., the developer behind Line 7, can begin pulling building permits and start construction, said Aaron DeJong, Urbandale’s director of economic development.

Line 7 will include a mix of studio and one-, two- and three-bedroom units. There will also be a clubhouse with a pool, dog park and garages. Although in Urbandale, Line 7 sits in Dallas County and will be in the Waukee Northwest school district. The Hubbell Realty development will be done in phases. Construction on the first phase is expected to be completed in late 2027.
